Michele Ganeless
Comedy Central
President
Having led Comedy Central since 2004, president Michele Ganeless has seen the prominence of the network grow as many of the network’s most popular series have permeated the zeitgeist. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, South Park and The Colbert Report, and more recent series like Key & Peele, Broad City, @midnight andInside Amy Schumer dominate the cultural landscape. Keeping Comedy Central at the forefront of the multi-platform age, she has led the roll-out of projects like Comedy Central’s TV Everywhere App, a seamless extension of the brand that gives fans a one-stop destination for access to full episodes of Comedy Central series instantly and anywhere; CC:Stand-Up, an App that offers users a tool to discover new comics and view and share comedic content; and CC:Stand-Up Direct, a direct-to-consumer distribution platform that delivers unlimited streams and downloads of uncut, uncensored stand-up specials. Next up: the 2015 launch of The Minority Report starring Larry Wilmore, which will fill Comedy Central’s 11:30 p.m. nightly time slot in between The Daily Show and social media sensation @midnight and continue Comedy Central’s tradition of bringing new and innovative formats to late night television.
